Afrodyta Rękawik (b. 1997) is a sculptor and ceramic artist, as well as a project coordinator and artistic assistant at the Katarzyna Kozyra Foundation. She graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2018–2024).
At the Katarzyna Kozyra Foundation, she is responsible for coordinating and managing projects related to the artist’s practice, including the organisation and production of exhibitions, conceptual support, and ongoing collaboration in the implementation of artistic and institutional activities. She is also involved in the development and structuring of Katarzyna Kozyra’s artistic archive, project documentation, and initiatives aimed at strengthening the visibility of the artist’s work within artistic and public circulation.
Her artistic practice focuses on corporeality, the experience of the body, and women’s issues, which naturally resonates with the thematic areas present in Katarzyna Kozyra’s work. This allows her to combine the perspective of an artist with a careful and empathetic approach to working with Kozyra’s oeuvre, supporting its continued relevance and presence in contemporary art discourse. A key aspect of her work is increasing the recognition of Katarzyna Kozyra’s artistic legacy among younger audiences and developing new contexts for its reception.
