Pasquale Plastino

Born in Rionero in Vulturein, Italy. He attended the school of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, and obtained a degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature. Plastino began his career as an assistant of the directors Antoine Vitez and Ariane Mnouchkine, later working as a theatre director from 1981 to 1992. He also collaborated with Bernardo Bertolucci during filming the “Stealing Beauty” as second assistant director and worked as an assistant director for Carlo Verdone. Since 1996, he has been working as a screenwriter in Italy. He won the “Silver Ribbon” award given by the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists for best original story in the movie “Io, Ioro e Lara” in 2010, and was nominated in 2003 for “What Fault Is It of Ours?”
