She lives and works in Jelenia Góra. She graduated from the Education faculty at the Wroclaw University. In 1989, she graduated from the Higher School of Photography in Warsaw. She is a member of the Polish Association of Photographers (ZPAF). In photography she focuses on places of silence and spaces of quiet contemplation. Hogbarska is a curator and a promoter of contemporary art. In September 2014 she organised a group exhibition entitled “A bitter pill - Poland” (“Gorzki to chleb jest polskość”) in BWA in Jelenia Góra. For the past 25 years she has been running the art centre BWA in Jelenia Góra. She is a recipient of the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.
