Hanna Wróblewska

She studied art history at Warsaw University. She has been working in Zachęta – National Gallery of Art since the early 90s. She curated many exhibitions, among others retrospective exhibitions of Andrzej Wróblewski and Katarzyna Kozyra. In 2010 she started working as a director of the Zachęta – National Gallery of Art and became the commissioner of the Polish Pavilion at the International Art Exhibition, la Biennale di Venezia. The project Otwarta Zachęta, a website allowing the gallery to present its collections and documentation, brought her the Otwieracz award (Creative Commons Polska) and the Culture Warranty award (TVP Kultura). She was one of the initiators of programs Citizens Forum of Contemporary Art (Obywatelskie Forum Sztuki Współczesnej) and Citizens of Culture (Obywatele kultury).
